The social media pages monitored by the Friends of Harriet Beecher Stowe House are intended to be public spaces of education and conversation that sustain the legacy of Harriet Beecher Stowe and the Beecher family home in Cincinnati, Ohio.
In all of our interpretation, programs, events, and communication, we commit ourselves to:

The Harriet Beecher Stowe House welcomes and encourages lively discussion, debate, and diverse viewpoints. Comments on our social media platforms should move the conversation forward, rather than attack other users and their views. In order to protect respectful dialogue, we will not tolerate posts which contain rude, hateful, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, or harassing comments, images, or videos. Posts containing this content may be removed and/or may result in you being banned or blocked.
The views expressed by visitors to our pages are not our own and may not represent the views of the Friends of Harriet Beecher Stowe House, its employees, Board, members, or affiliates. All Harriet Beecher Stowe House volunteers and employees who frequent our social media pages are subject to these guidelines in addition to the Social Media Policy that can be found in our Volunteer, Board, and Staff Handbooks.
